Our quality

Premium quality is the norm of our clothing

Polo shirt quality

Polo shirt quality comes in many forms. We at Changing Attire firmly believe that understanding the components is essential to appreciate premium quality clothing. Besides the used materials, we took conscious decisions in regard to tailoring and design to ensure all of our customers enjoy the Polo shirt in many different occasions and for as long as possible.

Fit and tailoring

Our Polo shirts are custom-fit, which lies between a non-tailored regular fit and the highly-tailored slim fit. Our local pattern makers designed a shirt form that lies stylish on the wearer’s body while allowing comfortable movement.

Limited edition

Our Polo shirts are one-of-a-kind. When you order a shirt with us, you will find that the local art on your back label will change with every new order, therefore making every order unique. Also, we display how limited our editions are by numbering them in the back label. You can find our past production here.

Longevity

Our clothes are made to last, which is why we produce locally in the UK. The well-established British fashion industry allows us to build close relationships with manufacturers and draw from their vast experiences in clothing production with an emphasis on quality and durability.

Polos all made from
natural components

Blue soft organic Pique fabric

Fabric

We use a 200 gsm (grams per square metre) Pique fabric that was woven in the UK. The weaving gives the fabric a pleasant touch while being durable. All our fibres are 100% cotton, and we make sure to use no plastic: neither in the Polo shirt nor within the packaging.

White Corozo buttons that add to our Polo shirt quality on a blue fabric that are made in Wales

Corozo buttons

Compared the plastic buttons, Corozo buttons have a smooth touch, and are made with natural materials from the seeds of the tagua palm tree. These buttons are made to last, giving our Polo shirts more longevity along the way.

Folded cotton collar on blue fabric

Collars

Our collars are made from own fabric, which ties nicely with the fabric of the shirt, avoiding unpleasant colour differences between the main fabric and the collar. We support it with a seam and natural interfacing to ensure the collar keeps its form for a long time.

Cuffs

We make our cuffs from own fabric and ensure that they allow for movement, ideally for golfing or other sports.

Tencel thread is a natural thread that is important to our Polo shirt quality

Thread and seams

Despite the commonly used polyester threads, we decided to use a natural thread made out of cellulose pulp called Tencel. Besides being fully biodegradable, Tencel also has a softer touch while being durable for washing. The seams on our clothing feel distinctively softer, which adds to the Polo shirt quality.

A roll of cotton neck tape, which adds to our Polo shirt quality, lies on blue Pique fabric

Cotton neck tapes

A shirt leans against our necks most of the time. Our 100% cotton made cotton tapes reduce the rubbing of the seams against the skin significantly. This increases the comfort of our Polo shirts.

No tags means better comfort and a higher Polo shirt quality

Label-free

We challenge the norm that labels are a needed evil. Labels contain important info. However, they can also bother the wearer on the sides or the back. Our shirts have the required information printed, framing the local art of the back-label, which makes additional tags unnecessary.
